THE CHURCH IN DECLINE: NOW IS THE TIME!

CRT exists because we want to see our nation changed - hope for the hopeless, the broken restored, the lonely loved – Jesus entering a city through the church and the church reimagining the future for the flourishing of the nation.

CEO of CRT, Sarah Jackson shares a message at HTB as part of 'The King Is Coming’ series.

Commentators can say that the tide of Christian faith is going out but that is not what I see when I visit our church plants around this nation. I see the opposite...

If you’re excited to lean into this vision and dare to imagine a nation where there is a vibrant, faith-filled church in every city, we would love for you to become a friend of CRT. Together, we believe we will see cities where churches are transforming lives and communities with the love of Jesus in our lifetime.

CHURCH PLANTING SUNDAY: FAMILIES ON THE MOVE TO HELP THOSE IN NEED

Have you ever found yourself waving goodbye to your teenager as they venture off to University for the first time? Or have you been that person yourself, reassuringly telling your parents that ‘it’s going to be okay; I’ll be back before you know it’?  Church Planting Sunday feels exactly that, a mixture of sadness and excitement as we send exceptional leaders and their families out to a city in need.

Watch the video to hear why Sam and Hannah; Ed and Jess; and Chris and Nai are uprooting their families to venture into the unknown with a quest to share the good news and to bring about positive change.

LC19: TRAINING LEADERS TO CHANGE COMMUNITIES

At CRT, we believe that training leaders is crucial to the thriving of local churches and we are thrilled that the Leadership Conference is designed to do just that. We long to see individuals who are sold out for Jesus leading vibrant churches across the UK, that positively impact their local communities. In addition to the London venue, the conference was hosted in hubs around the UK - including Gas Street Birmingham, St Peter’s Brighton, St Mattias Plymouth and Ps & Gs Edinburgh. Here’s how some of them got on…

St Peter’s Brighton

Seminars were led by experts in their field on topics such as ‘Five global trends shaping the future of the Church’ and ‘What church and business can learn from each other’ to name a few.

I came away feeling challenged and stretched as well as encouraged! Thank you for putting on such a top-quality event.

Gas Street Birmingham

Gas Street in Birmingham hosted a live Midlands Hub during LC19, live-streaming the main stage content from the Royal Albert Hall and combined it with sessions led by outstanding local leaders, alongside times of worship and ministry.

I think it’s amazing what’s happening, just seeing what God is galvanising – the people, the church plants, the movement - it’s really, really exciting but it’s not just Birmingham; it’s right throughout the Midlands region. It feels to me like God is highlighting something here and it’s time for us as a church to step up, to be confident, to be bold and I think there’s often been a lot of emphasis on London and the south but I think there is a shift we are seeing and I’m just so encouraged to hear today of church plants in Wolverhampton, in Telford, in Derby, in Coventry and Nottingham and people coming to Christ – it’s amazing what’s happening!

PETER’S PATHWAY: CHANGING THE FACE OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND

We are delighted that Ryan, Joe, Gavin and Julian are participating in the first pilot programme of the Peter’s Pathway and we are thrilled to be welcoming another 15 candidates to the programme in September 2019.

By raising up clergy from historically excluded and under-represented groups - we are uniting every tribe and every tongue to play a part in the Body of Christ. I’d love to be a role model to the next generation...
— Ryan Rodrigues, Peter’s Pathway candidate 2018/2019
