Welcome to Issue 004,
our final addition of the year as 2018 draws to a close
and we gear up with expectancy and excitement for 2019...
ABANDONED RESTAURANT AND FORMER PATTERN STORE TRANSFORMED INTO PLACE OF WORSHIP
A momentous occasion took place on 2nd December when Pattern Church, led by Joel and Cath Sales, was officially launched as the latest City Centre Resource Church in Swindon. The launch was held in a temporary marquee in front of the church (due to the building work scheduled for completion in a few months’ time) and had over 300 guests including 50 children. There was a children’s Christmas party, confetti cannons and a huge hog roast after the service. Most importantly, 5 people gave their lives to Jesus!
This major initiative by the Diocese of Bristol is taking place to support the regeneration of Swindon and was celebrated during the civic launch a few days before the Sunday celebrations by the Bishop of Bristol, Bishop of Swindon, Deputy Lieutenant and Chief Constable of Wiltshire to name a few.
Over the two events, Pattern Church had coverage from Sky News, BBC Wiltshire and the Swindon Advertiser.
The transformation of the Pattern Store is well underway and the project team is working hard to create a space that is fit for 21st century mission and also respects the history and heritage of the building itself. Joel and Cath are keen to keep the history of the Pattern Store alive and reflect this in their new logo.
To keep up-to-date with all that Joel, Cath and the team are up to in Swindon including when their carol services are taking place, visit patternchurch.org and sign up to their newsletter.

MEET THE TEAM
In every newsletter we like to introduce another member of the CRT team so please say hello to Zadkiel Yeo.
Zadkiel studied Aerospace Engineering in his earlier years and is still very passionate about the industry. He then completed his post graduate studies at Sussex and graduated with distinction in International Management. Zadkiel has been working at HTB since November 2016, initially in the Giving team, then joining the CRT team at the end of 2017. Alongside his passion for flight, Zadkiel is the point team member for support in photography, website building, design and media. He also advises church plant leaders in branding set up and website design. Having served in the military in the past, he is now 1 of 3 ex-military personnel on the CRT team.
We want to give thanks for all that God has done for us in 2018! We have seen many prayers answered and we believe that this has much to do with your continued prayer support – thank you!
We would love to ask you to join us in praying for the following areas as we prepare ourselves for new adventures in 2019:
The HTB Network – for a restful and refreshing Christmas time in preparation for a busy new year.
The new church plants (Bristol, Southampton, Nottingham and Swindon) for growth, building work and strong connections to grow with their local communities.
Recruitment and training of 100 new and dynamic leaders.
For new Pilot Ordinands who have recently started at St Mellitus College.
New partnerships with the dioceses and bishops.
Transformation into areas of social deprivation.
Financial provision to enable the vision.
