Our final addition of the year as 2018 draws to a close and we gear up with expectancy and excitement for 2019…

Abandoned restaurant and former pattern store transformed into place of worship
A momentous occasion took place on 2nd December when Pattern Church, led by Joel and Cath Sales, was officially launched as the latest City Centre Resource Church in Swindon. The launch was held in a temporary marquee in front of the church (due to the building work scheduled for completion in a few months’ time) and had over 300 guests including 50 children. There was a children’s Christmas party, confetti cannons and a huge hog roast after the service. Most importantly, 5 people gave their lives to Jesus!
This major initiative by the Diocese of Bristol is taking place to support the regeneration of Swindon and was celebrated during the civic launch a few days before the Sunday celebrations by the Bishop of Bristol, Bishop of Swindon, Deputy Lieutenant and Chief Constable of Wiltshire to name a few.
Over the two events, Pattern Church had coverage from Sky News, BBC Wiltshire and the Swindon Advertiser.

The transformation of the Pattern Store is well underway and the project team is working hard to create a space that is fit for 21st century mission and also respects the history and heritage of the building itself. Joel and Cath are keen to keep the history of the Pattern Store alive and reflect this in their new logo.
To keep up-to-date with all that Joel, Cath and the team are up to in Swindon including when their carol services are taking place, visit patternchurch.org and sign up to their newsletter.
Blessing upon blessing 2018 look back
It has been an extraordinary year for CRT! We feel incredibly blessed to have been able to play our small part in supporting the amazing work of the HTB Network and new church plants. We have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity and friendship this year and have much to celebrate in this Christmas season.
Here are just a few moments that we loved in 2018.
