A Weekend For Your Marriage
The Clergy Marriage Retreat this year takes place from Friday, 25 November – 27 November 2022 at Wiston House in West Sussex, which provides a beautiful, tranquil setting where clergy couples can enjoy its comfortable surroundings, delicious food and space to relax.

Programme
The programme will begin at 5pm on Friday and finish by 2pm on Sunday. First and foremost, the weekend will provide an opportunity for those attending to invest in their own marriage. There will be time to relax alone as a couple as well as benefiting from the sessions that address areas of pressure for clergy marriages. Discussions as a couple will always be private. Mealtimes provide the opportunity to spend time with other clergy couples.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer childcare at Wiston House.

Cost
The Goring family are very generously sponsoring ¾ of the normal costs for a weekend at Wiston House and the accommodation and food per couple for the weekend have been offered to us for £450.
Integral to the vision of these retreats is the opportunity for the wider church to be proactive in investing in the marriages of leaders. A possible funding model would be for the Diocese, Parish and couple to each pay a third. Your diocese may well allow you to make use of your annual CMD grant for the retreat. Meanwhile many PCCs are happy to cover a further third of the cost (£150), which leaves the couple needing to cover the remaining £150. (CRT covers additional costs including resources, drinks and team costs.)
